The original copper finials on the peaks of the main roof were one of the client’s favourite features of the 1930’s house and were an inspiration for the design.

The dynamic extension is used as a family and entertaining space which spills out into the reconfigured garden beyond.  The massing allows generous amounts of daylight to enter the new north facing spaces.

The main space was designed for maximum impact, with beautiful high quality materials, increased daylight, views and reflectiveness into the rear garden.  A dynamic kitchen island unit forms the centerpiece to the main space.  Floating ring light fixtures echo the ribbed densely planted circular planters in the garden. A large circular fish pond augments the lush vegetation in the garden.
