Full house refurbishment of an original Victorian Villa

The original house had extensive work carried out throughout its lifetime, which left it in need of major work.  The project comprised removing previous additions  and providing a full structural renovation and re-configuration of the external facades and internal spaces .

The clients brief was to retain the footprint and massing of the original house and transform the spaces for modern family living.  The result was a total reconfiguration of the internal spaces, particularly at the rear ground floor area overlooking the garden. This space was completely opened up internally for a large kitchen and dining room with sliding doors overlooking the garden.  All the bedrooms were refurbished with the addition of two new ensuite bathrooms.

Where possible, the original features were retained, to reinstate the elegance and charm of the Victorian detached property, which can mainly be experienced in the entrance hall and front reception rooms.
